Good contributions may include:

If you submit a memory, your display name, location, decade, topic, and approved story may appear publicly on the Memory Wall. Your email address will not be published.

Comments and submitted memories may be reviewed before appearing on BeforeNoise.
We may edit very lightly for spelling, formatting, or clarity when needed, but we will not intentionally change the meaning of your memory.
We may decline, remove, or not publish content that includes:
- Spam, advertising, affiliate links, or self-promotion
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks
- False or misleading claims presented as fact
- Explicit, offensive, or inappropriate material
- Copyrighted content copied from another source without permission
- Private information about another person
- Content unrelated to the story, memory, or community
Respect Other People’s Memories
People remember the past differently.
A memory does not need to match another person’s experience to be meaningful. Please respond with kindness, even when your own memories are different.
BeforeNoise is not a place for arguments about politics, culture wars, or personal attacks. We are here to preserve memories, not create more noise.
Photos and Images
Only upload photos that you own, have permission to share, or believe are appropriate for public use.
By submitting a photo, you confirm that you have the right to share it with BeforeNoise.
We may decline images that are low quality, unrelated, unsafe, copyrighted without permission, or inappropriate for the site.

By submitting a comment or memory, you give BeforeNoise permission to display it on the website, in related site features, and in future BeforeNoise communications such as newsletters or social posts.
